Provide excellent customer service in-person and on the phone, including greeting customers promptly and courteously.
Follow Store Operations Procedures as defined by the HP&S Division, and direct patient health concerns or physician inquiries to the Pharmacist.
Identify and suggest additional products and services to customers, and promote Pharmacy growth initiatives like Medication Reviews and Vaccination.
Prioritize customers by urgency/importance for the Pharmacist, give them accurate wait times for prescription orders, and assist them in finding OTC items.
Process payment for prescription and OTC items, and follow up with customers regarding prescription readiness, balance owed, and waiting for stock items.
Receive and review prescriptions from patients, and ask about third party coverage, allergies, health conditions, and other relevant information.
Receive and process prescription refill orders, prioritize prescription orders for verification by Pharmacist or Registered Technician, and handle claims adjudication.
Triage prescriptions by urgency and importance for entry into Pharmacy Software, and Accurately prepare prescriptions, consisting of retrieving, counting, compounding and labelling of medications into proper containers
Receive and process prescription refill orders, prioritize prescription orders for verification by Pharmacist or Registered Technician, and handle claims adjudication.
Accurately sort and verify patient orders for delivery, and communicate appropriate wait times to destination communities.
Package boxes for shipping, arrange for delivery to the appropriate mode of transportation, and follow up with communities to ensure delivery.
Securely transport prescriptions to and from the Servilocker, and load and unload prescriptions from the Servilocker as needed.
Scan and file prescriptions, invoices, shipping reports, and other documentation as per the Pharmacy's standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Pharmacist's instructions.
Receive orders and rotate stock as per SOPs, ensure Pharmacy area cleanliness, Assist in management of Will Call Bin, including contacting patients with prescriptions waiting for pickup
Handle invoicing to accounts office and run reports in Kroll as directed by the Pharmacist Manager or Staff Pharmacist.
Execute end-cap displays and flyer activity

Strong organizational skills and demonstrated customer service experience;
Work quickly and efficiently to complete responsibilities, and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines;
Detail oriented while maintaining a high degree of accuracy;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks, and stand for long periods of time;
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality;
Previous experience providing pharmacy support is an asset;
Previous shipping and receiving and / or administrative experience is an asset;
Working knowledge of computers required, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset; and
A valid drivers’ license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
