The North West Company (NWC) is seeking a Relief Pharmacist (3-Month Term) for Muskehki Pharmacy located inside the NorthMart store in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist seeking a flexible contract role with a unique blend of community pharmacy practice and central fill operations supporting remote Northern communities.

Dual Role: Central Fill + Community Pharmacy

Muskehki Pharmacy operates as both a community pharmacy serving Winnipeg customers and a central fill pharmacy supporting NWC pharmacy locations across Northern Manitoba. This unique model provides a well-rounded practice experience with a combination of direct patient care and prescription fulfillment services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional pharmacy services and patient-centered care
Ensure compliance with provincial pharmacy regulations and standards
Verify prescriptions and support dispensing activities
Deliver medication counselling and clinical services
Support central fill pharmacy operations and workflow
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and pharmacy team members
Maintain exceptional customer service and patient care standards
Support NIHB claims processing and compliance requirements

Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
Strong communication and patient counselling skills
Community pharmacy experience preferred
Experience with Kroll is an asset
Knowledge of NIHB billing processes is an asset
Experience in high-volume dispensing environments is an asset

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
