Item File Maintenance-Clerk

Status: 6 Months Term

Bring your organizational, detail-oriented and analytical skills to your role as the Item File Maintenance Clerk at The North West Company (NWC). In your role, you will facilitate the timely and accurate completion of item maintenance tasks, and ensure they are completed within the department standard timelines and with a high degree of accuracy.

Your Role:
  • Enter all changes, additions, and deletions for Food and General Merchandise SKUs into the PowerHQ system as provided by Item Maintenance Coordinators.
  • Track assigned work requests for audit and send notification of task completion to Item File Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure the integrity of the data meets NWC standards as defined in the standard operating process documentation.
  • Communicate with the Item File Maintenance Supervisor if unable to process data within defined timelines, take action required to enable completion when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of office experience; previous data entry experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience.
  • Knowledge of PowerHQ is considered an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Must be detail conscious while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within strict timelines.
