Promotional Coordinator

In your role as Promotional Coordinator at The North West Company (TNWC) you will be responsible for the collection, compilation, and system entry of promotional pricing and related data. In working with various stakeholders, this role will ensure adherence to the promotional work back schedule as to support production requirements.

Your Role:
  • Manage the creation and coordination of promotions for the Canadian banners within TNWC.
  • Gather monthly information for advertising events from all participating categories and create event plans.
  • Verify the accuracy of the information on the event plan, make necessary corrections, and follow up with all participating categories about missing content.
  • Consolidate event plan and provide it to advertising agency by deadline; Work with ad agency to communicate and coordinate flyer production.
  • Provide event plans to stores to notify them of upcoming promotions; assist in resolving pricing and promotional errors as they happen.
  • Validate item inventory and retails before releasing flyer promotions.
  • Create, upload, maintain, and update promotional events.
  • Set up Event Nights and other promotions, update changes and trouble shoot when errors occur.
  • Maintain and communicate weekly reports.

Desired Skills & Experience:
 
  • Administrative or Marketing degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets in Excel, and data entry software; administrative experience.
  • Ability to read large volume of data and spot irregularities; proofreading experience is preferred.
  • Working with enterprise operating systems such as Retek and AS400 is an asset.
  • Very detail oriented, organized, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work within tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work well both independently and in a team.
