Our Pricing department is currently seeking a co-op student to join our team as a Pricing Intern. This internship opportunity will give you real world experience that will provide you with a competitive edge; enhancing technical, problem solving, and analytical skills in the Retail, Business Analysis or Marketing field, while becoming familiar with our processes, the organization, and our innovative corporate culture.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
With the mentorship of the Pricing Operations Manager, the intern will provide support for the preparation and execution of pricing strategies for Northern Canada Retail Banners. Responsibilities include:
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be currently enrolled in the I.H. Asper School of Business program. The successful candidate is detail oriented, and has the ability to manage work efficiently and effectively, with proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills. The candidate should also possess a passion for challenging work and be prepared to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The role requires a high degree of curiosity, discovery, and willingness to work through complex scenarios. Additional qualifications include:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of internal customers in a professional manner are required.

- Supporting pricing modelling initiatives
- Running and monitoring data audit reports
- Updating standard operating procedure documentation
- Assisting analysts in supporting Category Management pricing reviews
- Special project work as required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Ability to work effectively across varying functional areas;
- Identify best practices and bring in new insights and ideas to the team;
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidential information; and
- Prior office experience in an office environment is an asset.
