Your Role:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions for assigned projects, enhancements, and focused initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs, application components, APIs, database changes, and integration solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to project teams, ensuring high-quality, maintainable solutions that align with enterprise standards.
- Participate actively in Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, task execution, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, technical validation, and quality assurance to support robust and reliable software delivery.
- Support production deployments and migrations, monitor implementation outcomes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, development standards, deployment notes, and operational procedures.
- Mentor developers and project team members by sharing technical knowledge, development best practices, coding techniques, and problem-solving approaches.
- Promote and enforce coding standards, secure development practices, software engineering guidelines, and reusable design patterns.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, including source control, build automation, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and development workflow improvements.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, analysis, documentation, and development efficiency.
- Contribute to technology modernization and broader software engineering initiatives as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale software development, preferably within a complex retail, supply chain, or enterprise application environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, databases, and data-driven solutions, with hands-on experience in Python, C#, .NET, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with modern web front-end frameworks, preferably React, and knowledge of integration platforms such as MuleSoft or similar API/integration middleware is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, software development lifecycle practices, production support, and release management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps practices, including source control, automated builds, deployment pipelines, code quality tools, and environment management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.
- Knowledge or experience with shell scripting, Oracle Pro*C, Java, Oracle APEX, .NET MAUI, or similar technologies is considered an asset.
- Certification or formal training in software development, cloud technologies, Agile, DevOps, enterprise architecture, or AI-assisted software development is considered an asset.
