In your role as a Lead Hand – Term at The North West Company (TNWC), you will support the distribution center, which is responsible for distributing products to our stores through safe working practices, including order receiving, picking, ticketing, packing, and shipping, as well as a number of other processes to serve the stores.

Your Role:

Desired Skills & Experience:
Previous distribution experience at The North West Company’s WLSC (Winnipeg Logistics Service Center) or CMF (Crescent Multi Foods) is required.
Previous warehouse experience involving shipping and/or receiving is preferred.
Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment is an asset. The ability to obtain certification is required.
Knowledge of airport/airplane loading procedures is essential.
Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
Strong curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex scenarios are required.
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) accurately.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
Sufficient literacy level to perform required tasks effectively.
Ability to work in varying seasonal temperatures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
